In House Knife Grinding
We custom grind and maintain all of our own knives. We keep numerous profiles in stock and can produce a knife for any profile. Fax us (937-535-0011) or email the profile and we will custom mill it for you!

Stock and Custom Laid Up Plywood
AWS carries the highest quality plywood that meets or exceeds national standards. We offer every species veneer in a variety of grades and cores. Choose from plain sliced or rotary cut. We offer Veneer Core Plywood (VC), Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) , Particle Core Plywood (PBC), and Calibrated/Platform Core.
Custom Laid-Up Plywood
AWS customizes laid-up plywood based upon the exact specifications of your project. We offer many species of veneer laid up on the board of your choice. By utilizing high quality plywood in our plywood press assembly we can ensure a balanced product. All panels are manufactured in-house and we offer quick lead times with no minimums. Chose from an array of hardwood, burl, exotic and marine veneers. We offer Veneer Core Plywood (VC), Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and Particle Core Plywood (PBC) boards.
Hardwood Lumber
Since different regions produce different quality hardwood and softwood in terms of color and texture, American Wood Source obtains lumber from the best growth areas in the country. We offer a wide array of species in stock and specialty woods are available upon request.

Our competitors typically use a gross (or green) tally method in spite of the approximate 7% shrinkage during the drying process. At AWS, we quote your order net tally based upon the board footage measure. We don’t play games with our customers. You get what you pay for.
Straight Line | Gang Ripping
You have the option of getting all of your hardwood lumber straight lined with one or two clean edges and gang ripped to a specified width.
Planing
Using a 25″ Industrial Double Surface Planer we can surface any board to a uniform thickness and two clean faces in one pass.
